Life Along The Whey

Falling with Style

Today, I’m sharing the strategies I use to fight my own battle with fear, anxiety, and feelings of uncertainty.
Whenever we take a fall in life or get knocked down it’s easy to start to feel overwhelmed.
I know you can relate because you are very busy taking care of so many things and a set back can feel much like a big loss.
It took some time for me to gather the proper “tools” in life and learn that falling is the best part...That is if you know how to fall with ‘style.’
I realize from experience the importance of these 3 strategies...
  1. Understanding your own patterns and regulating your energy accordingly.
  2. Getting the mindset to understand that failing is a Lesson and not a Loss.
  3. Connecting yourself with good people -friends, family, and even mental health professionals.
However, I can’t stress enough that one of the most valuable and life-changing connections you can have will be with your farmer.
I know this 1st hand and have witnessed for myself that the work
we do here on this farm has a major impact on the health, emotion,
and overall well-being of the people that come into our
raw milk community and how they feel everyday.
Studies show that modern food is certainly a major factor in the rise of anxiety, depression, as well as many forms of illness.
Most folks don't notice that what we put into our bodies affects how we feel. This along with not having the other tools in your toolbox sure makes it harder to get back up after a fall.
I’m not talking about a hard crash from eating to much sugar, or the     overstimulation from too much coffee, but I am talking about the lack of     beneficial bacteria in our diet.
Because humans are almost 90% made from bacteria. It is bacteria that...
  • Keeps us alive and covers us in an invisible body armor that keeps environmental insults out.
  • They help us to digest our food and help us make vitamins and minerals.
  • Bacteria also educate our immune systems to keep bad microbes out.
Having a strong immune system means that your body has “secured” its own ability to do battle and protect itself.
The modern food system has set an all-out war on our food that is consistently KILLING ALL bacteria from our food supply indiscriminately.

Only you can do something about this by taking an analysis of how you are  being affected by the foods you eat or the lack of beneficial living food available to you that you do not eat.
We are being subjected to sterilized foods, harsh antibiotics, GMOs, preservatives, chemicals in our soils, water, air, food, kitchens, vehicles, work environments, and only God knows where else!
Our natural immunity has been compromised, and it may take patience to rebuild it. But I swear, as long as I’m around you’ve got a committed partner in the fight.
Take some good advice today in using food as your medicine and start incorporating real milk into your daily regimen.

Raw milk contains living, beneficial bacteria, enzymes, lactase forming bacteria, and many enzyme-based pathogens killing systems.
  • It can significantly boost immunity (especially in children who get sick frequently),
  • Helps with asthma, eczema, colitis, and many more issues
  • Improves digestive function and ability,
  • Improves the bioavailability of vitamins and minerals
  • Delivers essential fats for cell protection.
*The fat of raw organic milk and its products, especially butter, contains natural anti-inflammatory nutrients. Pasteurizing milk destroys everything beneficial, leaving behind a mess that causes inflammation.
Any inflammatory condition can also contribute to anxiety and depression.
Lastly, beginning a committed inner balancing practice to your daily life will help you tap into the desire and discipline necessary to consistently eat well.
Keep in my that we are always here “farming in your service” and want nothing more than to allow Slak Market Farm to be your “soft place to fall”.
Leave me a comment here on the blog or reply by email about what you struggle with when it comes to making a connection with a farmer and drinking raw milk dairy, also where do you turn to for your soft place to fall in life?
