Thank you for participating in our 2019 "Heritage Turkey" Program. I'm so glad you were able to get a turkey before we sold out! I trust you will have a "tasteful" experience this holiday season! Now that you’ve ordered it, I'd like to ask... Do you know how to cook our heritage bird? I've got a great recipe guide here that will show you how! It's a little bit different because these birds are raised “free-range” and were actually allowed to exercise and roam freely around the farm. They are not the same as the store-bought bird and as with most pastured meat, it needs a little bit of prep-work. Therefore, to get a juicy roast bird, Putting it into a brine is key! However, it is not always something most home cooks with a small refrigerator or a full refrigerator of holiday foods can easily do. So, do you need help getting your brine on?.. If so try our Optional On-Farm Brine Service After slaughter on Tuesday the 26th, we can immediately marinate the turkey in a well-seasoned brine. It will be stored here in the farm store until your ready to pick it up. I’m flexible about your pick-up day... It’s whatever you need to make this work for you! Brine Service: $15 Sea Salt Brine or $20 Honey & Spice Brine reply to my email and say: YES-BRINE MINE- PLEASE! We offer our delicious pastured Holiday Turkeys as a farm tradition every year. Please remind me what's in the brine (for Fred) & how much it costs.
